Reason for Rating

ChefMate is a recipe discovery and meal planning app. The vast majority of its content consists of family-friendly food and cooking information. The 13+ rating is solely due to the following:

  • Alcohol references in recipes - ChefMate displays recipes sourced from TheMealDB, a public recipe database. Some recipes include alcohol as an ingredient (e.g. wine-braised dishes, beer-battered foods) or belong to a cocktails/drinks category. These appear infrequently among the broader recipe catalogue.
ℹ️ ChefMate contains no violence, sexual content, profanity, gambling, or any other mature content. The 13+ rating reflects only the occasional presence of alcohol-related recipes from TheMealDB.

Recipes and food imagery in ChefMate are sourced from TheMealDB, a publicly available recipe database. ChefMate uses this content under TheMealDB's free API terms. AI-generated content is produced by Google Gemini and is filtered to remain food and cooking focused.

ChefMate does not control or moderate content additions to TheMealDB. If you encounter a recipe you believe is inappropriate, please contact us.
